<div style='background-color: #005abb;'><a href='http://news.rsspump.com/' title='news'>headlines</a></div>

Vital Posh looks at the latest news coming out of Peterborough United over the past week and also what their rival teams in League One are up to.

BACK TO WINNING WAYS

Posh finally ended their barren run of defeats by beating top of the table Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A single Michael Bostwick strike with little over 10 minutes remaining of the match sealed the victory which kept Posh in fifth place but were now just eight points off Leyton Orient and Wolves who occupy the top two spots.

DUO OUT INJURED

Peterborough United captain Tommy Rowe and defender Craig Alcock have been ruled out through injury for a number of weeks.

Rowe has undergone surgery and will be out of action for six weeks while Alcock is expected to be missing for three weeks.

MOYS` END BEING DEMOLISHED!!

04-Dec-2013 - Moys End being demolished

Work on demolishing Moys` End is progressing well.

Bulldozers moved in on Tuesday morning and started off by demolishing the groundsman's storage hut. The surrounding wall at the rear of the stand was next up.

RATE THE REFEREE

Robert Madley took charge of the Wolves match and apart from a couple of glaringly obvious mistakes he did a decent job.

Wolves fans won`t be too happy with him though after he failed to give them a penalty after Mark Little blatantly handled the ball but the official just waved play on!

What did you think to the referee`s performance? Rate him HERE for the Wolves match.

POSH TRANSFER UPDATE

Midfielder Kane Ferdinand has been recalled by Posh from his loan with Northampton Town. Ferdinand went straight into the squad to face Wolves at the weekend and came on as a second half substitute.

Loanee Hogan Ephraim has agreed to extend his loan spell at Posh. The QPR midfielder will now be at London Road until the 29th January, 2014.

No other players were incoming or outgoing prior to the close of the transfer window last week [Thursday 28th November].

Four Posh players remain on the transfer list: Gaby Zakuani, Tommy Rowe, Tyrone Barnett, and Nicky Ajose.

The following players have so far departed London Road on permanent deals:

George Boyd has signed for Premiership newboys Hull City
Jonson Clarke-Harris signed for League One rivals Oldham Athletic for an nominal fee
Dwight GayleDwight Gayle has made a multi-million pound move to Premiership Crystal Palace
Emile Sinclair - Crawley Town 3Emile Sinclair joined League One rivals Crawley Town for a fee of 100,000

LEAGUE ONE ROUND-UP

Leyton Orient went back to the top of League One and are now ahead of Wolves on goal difference. The O`s drew with lowly Sheffield United while Wolves lost to the mighty Posh.

The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing. Bristol City deposed of Sean O`Driscoll last Thursday and named his successor this week. Steve Cotterill, who ironically was replaced by O`Driscoll at Nottingham Forest, has taken over the reins at Ashton Gate.

Hot on the heels of Richie Barker vacating the managerial seat at Crawley Town, Steve Coppell left his director of football position. Former Aston Villa, Derby and QPR boss John Gregory has been appointed as their new manager.
