The man in charge of the Sky Bet EFL League One match between Peterborough United and Oxford United at the ABAX Stadium is TOM NIELD.

It`s rookie ref time again as Posh have the pleasure of an official who has just four Football League matches under his belt and has never refereed as high as League One before!

Having said that, he has been an assistant referee for a few years and has been involved in 13 Championship matches as assistant ref.

The rookie in question is Tom Nield from Huddersfield!

So far this season, Nield has officiated four League Two matches and one EFL Trophy match issuing fourteen yellow cards and two red cards!

The last match he officiated came two weeks ago when he showed five yellow cards and one red card during the Cheltenham Town match against Colchester United. The home side picked up just one of the cards with U`s forward Mikael Mandron picking up the red card after 56 minutes.

The assistant referees for this match will be Stephen Finch and Ian Smedley. The fourth official is Thomas Harty.
