Rovers Clear Favourites to Beat Posh

Football League sponsors Sky Bet have installed Bristol Rovers as clear favourites to beat Peterborough United in today`s EFL League One clash.

Bristol Rovers -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Memorial Stadium
Date: Saturday, 12th August, 2017
Kick-off: 15:00pm

It`s still very early days so it`s difficult to predict how this match will go especially as both sides have won one game and lost one game so far this season.

Although Posh won their opening League match of the season, they put in a woeful performance in midweek against League Two side Barnet and suffered a deserved 3-1 defeat.

Rovers did the exact opposite. They narrowly lost one-nil at Charlton Athletic in the League despite playing against 10-men from the sixth minute but they showed just what they are capable of in their Carabao Cup first round match at Cambridge United. They put two goals past the U`s in each half while they were only breached once half-way through the second half.

Last season, Posh did the double over the Pirates with the match at the Memorial Stadium being won in the 90th minute by a Tom Nichols [pictured above] goal. Hopefully the same player won`t score the winner today seeing as he is now a Pirate!

So how do Sky Bet view this match?

They have installed Rovers as clear favourites to win with odds of 21/20 with Posh 12/5. The draw has odds of 13/5.

.What do you reckon the score will be? The poll to PREDICT THE SCORE has a two predictions edging away from the rest and they also reflects how the bookies feel. The leading predictions are two-nil and 3-1 wins for Rovers with 23.08% of the votes so far. You can get odds of 9/1 and 14/1 respectively for those scores.

Eleven different scores have been voted for so far with just three of them being for a Posh victory! Three predictions are for draws leaving the other five as a Rovers win!
