Peterborough United have sold their first player since the end of the season to League Two side Mansfield Town.

Hayden White v Bradford

Posh have sold their first player since announcing their retained list at the end of the season.

Right-back Hayden White has turned the loan he had at League Two side Mansfield Town into a permanent deal just 12 months after becoming Grant McCanns first ever signing as Posh boss!

White never lived up to expectations when he got his few chances to impress in the first team. His marauding rampages down the wing were few and far between while his defending wasn`t up to the standard needed.

The 22-year-old made nine appearances for Posh, but made double that, scoring once, while on loan at the Stags. White has agreed terms after Posh and the Stags agreed an undisclosed fee.

Stags boss Steve Evans was pleased to capture White from Posh as he said: "Signing Hayden White on a permanent deal was something which was at the forefront of my mind at the end of last season and it`s fair to say that once again the chairman and the chief executive have been able to agree a deal with Barry Fry at Peterborough that has enabled the lad to join us.

"He needs no introduction from me to the Stags` fans. He has, in the main, been outstanding [for Mansfield last season], and is a very welcome addition to a very talented group which has been assembled in the dressing room.

"I will say no more as his performances will need to speak for themselves."
