Olejnik To Head Out On Loan

Transfer listed Peterborough United goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik looks to be heading out on loan.

Bobby Olejnik

Reports are coming in that Posh goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik could be making a loan move to a fellow League One side.

Scunthorpe United are said to be keen on signing the former number one who is rumoured to be one of the top wage earners at London Road.

Ben Alnwick was signed in pre-season and was installed as the new number one keeper at Posh and has since made a good impression on Posh fans. His signing also meant that there was no room for one of the two main keepers from last season although both of which were placed on the transfer list at the end of last season as they were entering the final year of their contract at Posh. With Olejnik being a high earner, it was always thought that he would be the one that left, either permanently or on loan.

Posh were hoping to bring in at least one player yesterday but negotiations have stalled. Posh made four bids for players last week and Darren Ferguson was hopeful that one would be completed yesterday [Monday, 18th August]. Fergie is looking at players for central defence, forward and winger positions.

As soon as we have confirmation of Olejniks move or any other transfer, we`ll bring you it here at Vital Posh.
