With Posh failing to achieve their number one aim of promotion back to the Championship, Vital Posh takes a look at the season and how the goalkeepers have fared.
Olejnik played in 55 out of 61 matches for Posh this season keeping a clean sheet on 21 occasions.
He did have a dodgy spell mid-way through the season which saw his understudy step up to the plate and take over from the 27-year-old Austrian. He is a decent shot-stopper but as we`ve seen with many Posh keepers in recent seasons, his distribution was poor and needs to be improved upon.
He`s entering the final year of his contract but has been added to the transfer list as his agent has asked for a pay rise as part of any new contract offer but Posh have no money to spare as they look to keep within the 60% wage bracket. He is expected to remain at Posh next season despite this fact when his situation will be reviewed.
Joe Day stepped into Olejnik`s shoes six times this season and helped Posh to three wins while also suffering three defeats. He kept one clean sheet but the following two matches he conceded a total of eight goals!
As back-up keepers go he is average and has been placed on the transfer list as Posh look to freshen things up and reduce the wage bill.
