Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson is one of the four contenders for the April 2014 League One Manager of the Month Award.

April 2014 League One Manager of the Month Nominations

It`s been a good month for Posh as they`ve won five and lost two of their seven matches in April and have also clinched the final play-off place. It is this form that Darren Ferguson will want to see in the play-offs.

The other contenders for the award are:

Nigel Clough (Sheffield United)

Since Nigel Clough took over the Blades he has turned their season around reaching the FA Cup semi-final. They`ve also remained unbeaten in the League in April winning three matches and drawing four. This run includes picking up five points against promotion-chasing Brentford, Leyton Orient and Rotherham United.

Kenny Jackett (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Jackett has guided Wolves to the top of the League and winning promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt. He has sorted the team out and has a good mix of youth and experience which has seen them claim 100 League points so far.

Lee Johnson (Oldham Athletic)

Oldham were unbeaten during April winning three matches and drawing two. All three wins came away from home at Bradford, Colchester and Carlisle. The matches they drew at home were tricky matches against Coventry and Sheffield United.

Former Football League manager Dave Bassett; Sky Sports` Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers` Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins are all on the judging panel.

The winner will be announced tomorrow [2nd May].
