The Football League Sponsor Sky Bet make Wolverhampton Wanderers clear favourites to beat play-off chasing Peterborough United.

Wolves Away

Wolverhampton Wanderers -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Molineux
Date: Saturday, 6th April, 2014
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Wolves are clear at the top of League One, have lost just five League matches all season and have a very tight backline after conceding only 25 goals in 40 matches! Compare that with 16 defeats for the season and 52 goals conceded and you can see why the bookies have Wolves as favourites to win their League One clash today.

Posh were one of the pre-season favourites for automatic promotion but after a season of inconsistency, they are clinging their hopes on promotion back to the Championship via the play-off route. They have won their last two matches which includes a win at Wembley over Chesterfield in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy Final and they are hoping that win has boosted their confidence enough to go on a run and finish the season in style. A good performance by Posh could upset the bookies!

Wolves are without midfielder James Henry for the clash but will be hoping Bakary Sako has recovered from injury as they will be keen to get one over Posh who beat them earlier in the season and who thumped them 3-0 at Molineux last season.

Looking at the stats, Posh have a very good record at Molineux. Posh have won three of their five League matches played at Molineux and have lost just once!

Can Posh keep up their good record? Well, not according to the bookies who have Posh at 9/2 to beat Wolves today! Wolves are priced at 8/13 for the win with the draw priced at 11/4.

Sky Bet have 1-1 and a Wolves 1-0 win with the lowest priced odds at 11/2 with the lowest priced odds for a Posh win is 12/1 for a 1-0 win.

With Bakary Sako still trying to win his injury battle in time to play, he is only priced at 4/1 to score the first goal and evens to score at any time in the match. Leon Clarke is the favourite to score the first goal of the game at 100/30 with Nouha Dicko just behind him at 7/2. They are priced at 4/5 and 10/11 respectively to score during the 90 minutes.

Top scorer Britt Assombalonga, who has 28 goals to his name this season, is the Posh player with the lowest odds to score the first goal of the game. He is priced at 6/1 to score the first goal and 7/4 to score at any time in the match. Nicky Ajose, who started on the bench in Wednesdays 2-0 win over Colchester United, is the second favourite Posh player to score the opening goal at 7/1 and has odds of 12/5 to score during the match.

The top two predictions in the poll being run by Vital Posh are for victories to the home side. The favourite prediction so far is 2-0 to Wolves which has just over a quarter of the votes while a 3-0 Wolves win has 22% of the votes. Only one prediction for a Posh win has received votes and that is a 1-0 Posh win with 3% of the votes!

If you want to put a bet on any of those three predictions, you can get odds of 13/2 for the 2-0 Wolves win, 11/1 for the 3-0 Wolves win and 12/1 for the 1-0 Posh win.
