Latics Slight Favourites To Beat Posh

Oldham Athletic are slight favourites to beat Peterborough United in the Sky Bet League One match at Boundary Park.

Oldham Away

Oldham Athletic -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Boundary Park
Date: Saturday, 25th January, 2014
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Oldham sit in 17th place but are just one point outside of the relegation places. They are the kings of the close match this season with all bar three matches finishing with a maximum one goal advantage to Oldham or the opposition!

At home, the Latics have won four, drawn three and lost four matches. They won their last home match 1-0 against Stevenage but since that match they lost two away games by the same score to Walsall and Port Vale.

Adam Rooney is the top scorer for the Latics but he has just moved to Scottish side Aberdeen. That means the top scorer is a player the Latics signed in the summer from Posh - Jonson Clarke-Harris! He has five goals to his name one ahead of Charlie MacDonald and the son of former Posh striker Tony Philliskirk - Danny.

Posh are on a two match unbeaten run but they are still looking for the form from the start of the season to return. Away from home, Posh haven`t won in seven matches with the last away League win coming in mid-October at Port Vale. In total, Posh have a record of four wins, two draws and seven defeats!

Nicky Ajose celebrating 1 of 3 goals v Notts County

Britt Assombalonga is having an excellent first season at Posh and has hit 21 goals so far while Nicky Ajose [pictured above] has 10 League goals with four goals in the last two matches!

Can we expect another Oldham match to finish with a one goal difference or less? It certainly points in the direction of a close match!

The Football League sponsors Sky Bet have Posh at 17/10 to win the match with Oldham priced at 8/5 for the win. The draw is priced at 9/4.

The correct score odds have a 1-1 draw as the lowest odds priced at 5/1. A 1-0 win for the Latics is the next lowest odds at 7/1 with a 1-0 Posh win next lowest at 15/2.

The current favourite prediction in the poll being run by Vital Posh is a 2-0 win for Posh. You can get odds of 12/1 for this score.

Britt Assombalonga is the favourite to score the first goal of the match at 5/1 but the Latics Jonson Clarke-Harris is close behind at 11/2!! They are priced at 11/8 and 6/4 respectively to score at any time during the match.

Nicky Ajose and the Latics Charlie MacDonald are the next favourites to score first at 6/1 while they`re priced at 7/4 to score during the 90 minutes.
