Carden leaves POSH

Despite looking earlier in the week that he would stay and fight for his place, Paul Carden has had his POSH contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Carden joined in the summer of 2005 as part of the Mark Wright revolution and was instrumental last season.

This campaign has seen his appaearances limited due to missing pre-season with injury.

We wish him all the best in his career with Chester City (well!! thats where he is going to end up isn't it?!!)

It's unlikely he'll end up with us, we have wage cap problems and while we'd love to have him back we also have a vey strong midfield this season. Good luck to him though hopes he gets a club soon even if it's not back with us. He's good enough to play for most clubs at this level.
