Vital Posh MOTM Results -Vs- Crewe

Who has won Vital Posh Man of the Match for the Sky Bet League One match against Crewe Alexandra? Find out the results

What a strange match this was. Posh wanted to put the previous week`s poor performance against Crawley firmly behind them and started this match really well. They were dominating possession with Crewe finding it very hard to get out of their own area.

It was typical Posh that they were hit by two sucker punches. With just over twenty minutes of the match gone, Crewe had managed to get out of their own half on two occasions and score with both attempts!

To say Crewe had scored against the run of play was the understatement of the year.

Posh were hit for six after the second goal but they managed to get things together again and dominate the match again. Despite their domination they were creating very few chances in front of goal but they didn`t managed to finally breakthrough the dogged Crewe defence in added tim of the first half. Tyrone Barnett, who put up another impressive performance, was the man to reduce the deficit.

The second half was fairly similar to the first but without the Crewe goals. Posh dominated large parts of the match but Crewe did have a good 10 minute spell where they could and probably should have increased their lead again. Posh hung on during that period and got their just rewards right at the end of the match. It was deep inside added time when Michael Bostwick headed the ball goalwards and into the back of the net thanks to a deflection.

The performance was better than the previous week but it was concerning that with all the possession, they weren`t able to create many clear chances.
