Done Deal For Gayle? ** UPDATED 13:16pm 14-May

Strong rumours are spreading that QPR have agreed a deal with Peterborough United for their star striker Dwight Gayle!

Dwight Gayle

The rumour suggests that a fee of around 3.5 million plus add-ons was agreed last night and the striker will move to QPR ahead of next season.

If the rumour is true, it will be a massive blow for Posh and their aspirations of getting back to the Championship at the first attempt.

We`ll get to the bottom of this rumour and bring you updates whenever we get them while bringing you any further news or transfer news/gossip as soon as we hear it.

UPDATE 12:30pm 14-May-2013: Gayle has confirmed the rumour is not true which is excellent news...unless he can't say anything until a particular date!

UPDATE 13:16pm 14-May-2013: Even better news is that Darragh MacAnthony has quashed the rumour as he will not be selling his best players on the cheap as he said: "If anyone thinks i'd let best striker we have ever had go for a few mill, dream on!".

Let's hope that puts this particular rumour to bed!

What are your thoughts on Gayle though? Should we cash in or should we try to keep hold of him?
