Posh Interested In Taylor?

Peterborough United are rumoured to be interested in Falkirk`s star striker Lyle Taylor!

Lyle Taylor - Falkirk

The Scottish Division One striker has had a phenomenal season scoring 24 goals in just 34 matches but it`s taken him time to find his feet.

He was first spotted by Millwall when playing for Staines Town youth academy at the age of 17. He spent time on loan at both Eastbourne and Croydon before leaving for non-league Concord Rangers. He showed his quality at this level when scoring 34 goals in 42 matches before being snapped up by Bournemouth.

Despite playing 29 times for Bournemouth he failed to score a single goal and was farmed out on loan to Lewes, Woking and Hereford United before finally being released at the end of his contract.

Taylor nearly jacked it all in until he moved north of the border to Falkirk last summer.

"There has been a couple of times where I`ve been knocked back and I wondered if it was for me." said Taylor.

The 23-year-old Londoner hasn`t looked back since moving up to Scotland as he has started finding the back of the net again on a regular basis.

That form has got him noticed again by teams in England with Rotherham United and Coventry City all showing an interest in him alongside Posh.

Are Posh hoping that Taylor could fill Gayle`s boot should Gayle be sold in the summer or are they looking at adding another option to their forward department?

This is bound to be the first of many rumours that`ll do the rounds as it could be an interesting summer for Posh fans as they look to see who Posh can hang on to and who will be.
