Boyd Bids Farewell To Posh

After producing one of his best performances in recent months in Tuesdays trouncing of Millwall, George Boyd has finally departed Peterborough United.

George Boyd

It is a sad day to see a Posh legend leave London Road after giving many outstanding performances in a Posh shirt but that is what has happened with George Boyd finally departing London Road on loan to promotion chasing Championship side Hull City.

Boyd completed his medical without any problems at the KC Stadium before signing on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer. The deal is worth a seven figure sum to Posh!

He has spent six glorious years at Posh after signing from Stevenage. He has enjoyed three promotions in that time making 297 appearances scoring 75 goals. His last goal came on Tuesday when he scored Posh`s fifth goal against Millwall.

Hull City travel to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday where the 27-year-old could make his debut for the Tigers.

Vital Posh wishes George all the best with his future career and hopefully he can grace the Premiership next season.
