Posh Linked With Man Utd Duo

Posh Linked With Man Utd Duo

Peterborough United have been linked in many national papers with two players from Manchester United.

Defender Scott Wootton [pictured above], who spent time on loan at Posh last season is understood to be one of the players coming in.

The 21-year-old played 11 times for Posh last season mainly as a defensive midfielder rather than his accustomed central defender position.

Tweeting from Africa ahead of the African Cup of Nations, Posh central defender Gaby Zakuani commented about the rumour: 'is that actually official, if so its very good business'.

The other player linked with a move to Posh is fellow Red Devil Davide Petrucci.

The Italian midfielder signed for United from Roma and despite being plagued by injury which kept him on the sidelines for nearly two years, he has come back stronger with many United fans being impressed with the player.

He played for the United Reserves 25 times last season scoring eight times.

Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has hinted that Posh would be announcing two signings this morning [Wednesday]; one being a loan signing and one a permanent one.

Will Wootton and Petrucci be these players?

One national paper has suggested that Petrucci is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season so could this be an early exit if rumours are true?
