Zakuani Named In DR Congo Squad

Peterborough United centre back, Gabriel Zakuani, has been announced in the DR Congo squad for the upcoming African Cup Of Nations tournament.

This will mean Zakuani will miss a number of Posh matches, including the FA Cup 3rd round tie at home to Norwich.

This comes at a less than ideal time as everyone at the club pulls together in order to keep the club in the Championship. However, Zakuani has been a loyal servant to the club for a number of years now and has fully earned this call up, so on behalf of everyone at Vital Posh, we'd like to congratulate Gaby on his call up, and wish him the very best of luck at the tournament.

Zakuani will fly out to meet his International team mates tomorrow
