Thorne heads to Posh from WBA

Midfielder George Thorne has agreed a loan deal from Premiership WBA to Championship side Peterborough United.

The 19-year-old teams up with fellow WBA loanee Saido Berahino who has had a successful start to his loan period at Posh.

Thorne has only made 8 senior appearances for WBA although he did spend a time at Portsmouth during their relegation season from the Championship last season making 14 appearances in two separate loan spells with the club.

He has represented England at every level from Under 16 to Under 19 so far and is another player with a lot of potential.

Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony was pleased to announce the signing as he said: 'Delighted to announce loan signing of George Thorne from WBA for couple months. Young exciting CM who will only enhance our squad. Welcome!'.

Welcome to Posh George.
