Posh Sign Dwight Gayle

Posh have negotiated the earlier than expected signing of Dagenham and Redbridges Dwight Gayle/

The 22-year-old will sign on loan for Posh until January when he is expected to make the deal a permanent one.

He has played 20 games for Dagenham this season so far, three of which as a sub. He has had 28 shots on target scoring 7 goals.

Commenting on the signing, Chairman Darragh MacAnthony said: 'He is a lovely lad whom I met with his father, only wants to play footy & nothing else. Proper Posh signing this one old style!

"Credit has to go to our DOF [Barry Fry] who has done some incredible business over last few days under tight pressure. Seriously good business!"

MacAnthony has hinted that Gayle won't be the only player incoming this week: "We like a new signing or two!".

Welcome to Posh Dwight.
