Ref Watch: Watford v Peterborough United

The man in charge of the npower Championship match between Watford and Peterborough United is GEOFF ELTRINGHAM.

The Sunderland based official was appointed to The Football League list in 2008 as an assistant and just a year later he was upgraded to referee. He has since been taking charge of a mixture of League Two, League One and Championship matches.

So far this season, he has officiated 8 matches issuing 17 yellow cards and 1 red card. The Hornets v Posh match will be his fourth Championship match of the season.

Eltringham took charge of Posh on three occasions last season. They were the 1-0 defeat at home to Hull in September 2011, the 1-1 draw away at Middlesbrough on New Years Eve and the 3-0 defeat at home in March this year to Millwall.

Watford haven`t had the pleasure of Eltringham refereeing them.
