Vital Posh August Player of the Month (Poll)

Vital Posh August Player of the Month (Poll)

A new season for Posh, but they`ve started just as they finished off last season with a number of defeats.

Posh faced five games during August, two of which were Capital One Cup games. Despite getting off to the best possible start with a 4-0 drubbing of Southend in Round One of the Cup, Posh have lost the other four matches.

Ignoring the Southend game, some performances have been dire but they have slowly been getting better and whether it is a coincidence or not, have coincided with the return to the starting line-up of transfer listed duo Grant McCann and Mark Little.

Such has been the impact made by McCann, Darren Ferguson has, quite rightly, taken him off the transfer list.

Fergie is once again breaking the season down into chunks and has points targets for each chunk. Unfortunately Posh must be down on his current target for the initial chunk of games!

Results and Man of the Match results for August were:

18/08/2012MillwallH1 - 2

Not surprisingly, Posh are in the bottom three occupying 23rd place in the Championship. Only Crystal Palace were beneath Posh on goal difference.
