'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Posh MOTM -Vs- Birmingham City (Poll)

It was another but I think we`re slowly getting there!!

It was cautious approach to the match by both clubs who prior to this match had one point between them and were both in the bottom three.

The match built up and in the end it was another gaff by the defence that gave away the goal that consigned Posh to defeat number four out of four. Bobby Olejnik [pictured below] attempted to punch clear a freekick but it somehow ended up in the back of the net!

Posh are now rooted to the bottom of the Championship with a gap already appearing above them!!

Midfielder George Boyd [pictured below] could`ve played his last game for Posh against the Blues which means Darren Ferguson has two weeks to pick all the players up and get them working together. New signing Kane Ferdinand could also come into the squad for the next match after signing too late on transfer deadline day to play in this match.

At the minute, it seems the policy of buying lower league players isn`t working now as the quality being brought in, in some cases, just isn`t good enough for the Championship!

Posh did create quite a number of chances in this match though, but just couldn`t force the ball into the net or even get the ball on target!! One shot on target for the whole of the game tells you the story. You have to question the quality of player Posh have and keep bringing in!!

Many chances being created by Posh would normally be put away if they were created by Championship teams and if Posh are to survive, they need to start converting their chances and stop conceding stupid goals!

A full match report will be online later but who was your Man of the Match?

To cast your vote for the man of the match, add your vote on the poll down the right hand column of the site. Results will be announced on Wednesday [5th September, 2012.]
