'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Posh MOTM -Vs- Millwall (Poll)

Posh hosted their first League match of the 2012/2013 season and a very disappointing match it was too!

Posh were eager to make a good account of themselves at home and got off to an excellent start when George Boyd put the hosts in front. Unfortunately for Posh, and their fans, that was the point Posh stopped playing football!!

Millwall looked "up for it" from the start and the Posh goal seemed to galvanise them even more. They completely outplayed Posh and thoroughly deserved their opening season win.

Darren Ferguson made some strange substitutions during the game and only he really knows why. Paul Taylor looked his usual self of energy but lacked any sort of ability to pass to a player whether it be a Posh player or Millwall player! He was replaced at half time for Emile Sinclair. Youngster Joe Newell was also replaced even though he was having quite a good game. Former Posh captain and transfer listee Grant McCann came on in his place.

The substitutions had very little effect and from a fans viewpoint, it appears all is not well within the Posh dressing room.

Despite the disappointing performance, who gets your vote for Man of the Match?

To cast your vote for the man of the match, add your vote on the poll down the right hand column of the site. Results will be announced on Saturday [25th August, 2012.]
