New signing imminent at Posh?

New signing imminent at Posh?

Are Peterborough United on the verge of signing another player?

Austrian teenager Robert Pervan is on the verge of signing for Peterborough United after a successful trial. He played in the recent pre-season friendly against Manchester United and has impressed the Posh management in training.

The left-footed 18-year-old is a bit of a mystery as it`s not known where he has previously played. He has been liked to fellow Posh teenager Joe Newell and is also a midfielder.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: ""Robert is a player I`m hoping to sign.

"He was brought to my attention and is someone I like.

"He has a lot of the attributes I always look for in a player and the technical side of his game is excellent.

"He reminds me a bit of Joe Newell. He`s left-footed, has good balance and understands how we want to play.

"He is also a nice lad whose English is okay and I`m sure he`ll settle in fine."
