"A good afternoon's work" - Stuart Pearson




Foxes manager Nigel Pearson was pleased with his team after their opening day win over Posh. Talking to www.lcfc.com following the game, Pearson said: "All in all it's a good afternoon's work. It's nice to get off to a winning start, we've got a tough opening 10 games so it was important for us to start well. We scored the first goal at a good time and Andy King scored a very good goal to increase the lead in what was a close game. There will be a lot of tight games this season, we've got to make sure we do enough to win them.

"People underestimate teams like Peterborough; they pass the ball exceptionally well. I`m sure their game plan was along the lines of keeping possession and frustrating us, but I was very pleased with how we coped with that. Even in the first half, when we didn`t have as much possession as I would have liked, we still created the better chances."
