Vital Posh MOTM -Vs- Leicester City (Poll)

Posh travelled the short distance along the A47 for their first League match of the season against Leicester City.

With both teams having enjoyed a 4-0 success in the Capital One Cup earlier in the week, it looked as if the bookies predictions for these two teams were wide of the mark. Well, for Posh anyway.

At half time, with the scores tied at 0-0 and with Posh having a lot of possession, albeit without an end result, the start of the season looked very promising.

Unfortunately, six minutes into the second half, Leicester struck a decisive blow with a powerful header from Wes Morgan flew in off the underside of the bar despite Zakuani being fouled in the process. It was all Leicester from that point on and they doubled the advantage with a sweet strike from King from the edge of the box after another poor attempt at defending by Shaun Brisley.

Posh did pose more of a threat when Grant McCann and Emile Sinclair came on but it was too little too late by that point.
