St Neots -Vs- Peterborough United - Preview

Peterborough United continue their pre-season campaign away at non-league side St Neots.

St Neots -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Rowley Park Stadium
Date: 24th July, 2012
Kick-off: 7:45pm

Peterborough United will be looking to repeat last year`s win against St Neots, in their second game of pre-season.

Posh travel to the Rowley Park Stadium on the back of a 1-0 defeat by Crawley.

TEAM NEWS

Peterborough United

Posh will be without the services of forwards Emile Sinclair and Dave Hibbert for tonight`s trip to St Neots. Craig Alcock is a slight doubt with a back injury, but forward Jonson Clarke-Harris is in line to make his debut after he completed his free transfer from Coventry City yesterday.

Darren Ferguson has said he will once again play a different XI for each half, again utilising his squad ahead of Saturday`s friendly against Premier League side Norwich City.

Young striker Levi Wright could again be included in one of the XI`s, along with the likes of Peter Grant and Michael Richens.

St Neots Town

St Neots town have handed trials to a number of players and they could feature in tonight`s game. However, former Posh loanee Junior Konadu will not play, as he continues to look for a professional contract elsewhere.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

Posh boss Darren Ferguson told www.theposh.com that he believes it is about improving fitness at this stage: 'the players will get 45 minutes again this evening and then we will look at changing things for Saturday`s fixture with Norwich City at London Road. It`s all about fitness at this stage.`

Admission is £8 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and 12-16 year olds, and free for under 12`s with a paying adult.

PREDICTION

This is certainly the kind of game that the Posh need to be winning if they`re serious about surviving in the Championship.

Vital Posh predicts a game ending in a 4 - 1 win.
