Home tie for Posh in Capital One Cup


Peterborough United have been handed a home tie in the first round of the newly named Capital One Cup.





With matches due to take place in the week commencing 13th August, Posh will entertain League Two side Southend.

Southend just missed out on promotion last season after losing to Crewe Alexandra in the play-off semi-final.

The match could actually take place on the previous Saturday [11th August] should this be agreed by both sides.

The date for the tie will be announced in due course once both clubs have discussed dates.
