Capital One Cup Kicks Off Season

The newly sponsored League Cup, the Capital One Cup, will be the first competitive match of the season for Posh.

The credit card company are the new sponsors of the Football League Cup.

First round matches will take place during the week commencing Monday, 13th August, 2012 which is the week leading up to the opening Championship weekend.

The Capital One Cup draw will take place on Thursday, 14th June. The Championship fixtures are released on the following Monday [18th June].

All the Championship clubs with the exception of Bolton and Blackburn will be involved in the first round of the cup.

Vital Posh will bring you news of the draw and Championship fixtures as soon as they are released.
