Posh Make First Two Signings

Peterborough United have made their first 2 signings since completing a successful season in the npower Championship.

It should come as no surprise that the duo signed are Shaun Brisley and Tyrone Barnett.

Both were originally signed on-loan from Macclesfield Town and Crawley Town respectively with a view to signing permanenetly at the end of the season.

Shaun Brisley has featured 11 times since joining the club after central defender Ryan Bennett departed for Premiership outfit Norwich City in a multi-million pound deal on transfer deadline day.

Striker Barnett came from promotion chasing League Two outfit Crawley where he'd bagged 14 goals for them prior to moving to Posh.

He had an excellent start to life in the Championship scoring four goals in his first six games. Unfortunately, injury hampered the rest of his season as his form tailed off.

He managed to play in 12 matches for Posh while coming on as sub on one occasion.

Both players have now completed their permanent moves to Posh as Posh look to strengthen their team ahead of next season.
