Derby County v Peterborough United - Form Guide
Vital Posh looks at the form of both Derby County and Peterborough United going into the final match of the npower Championship season.
Peterborough United make their final trip of the season to midlands rivals Derby County.
Posh are in 18th place and can`t climb any higher. However, they could drop down to 21st depending on the outcome of the final fixtures of the season.
The Rams could move up a maximum two places if they win, but a defeat could see them drop up to three places. They are currently 11th in the Championship.
The Rams consigned Portsmouth to relegation last week when they won 2-1 at Fratton Park. They suffered defeat in their last home match though going down by a single goal to Middlesbrough.
Derby have 63 points from 45 games and are only nine points from the play-offs…a potential target for them next season?
From their 22 home League games, they have scored 27 goals while conceding one goal per game at home.
The defeat to Middlesbrough in their last home game resigned them to their eighth defeat at home this season. They have won eleven games while drawing just three.
Steve Davies is Derbys leading League scorer with ten goals. One goal behind him is a player fancied by the Posh chairman but wasn`t to Darren Fergusons liking - Theo Robinson. Craig Bryson has six goals while Jamie Ward has four.

Posh finished their home campaign last week with a 2-2 draw with Watford. Away from home, they have struggled to get results all season and last tasted a win on Boxing Day when they beat Nottingham Forest.
With the small squad Posh have, many players have played the majority of the games this season and have been feeling the effects of a long season over the past few weeks which has culminated in poor performances and poor results.
With 49 points on the board from 45 games, Fergusons target for the season was 50 points so Posh will be looking for at least a draw. They`ve suffered defeat on twelve occasions away from home while drawing seven and winning just three.
Paul Taylor looks to have won the battle for top League scorer for Posh this season when added to his tally against Watford last week. The striker, who is expected to leave London Road during the summer, has 12 League goals. His closest rival is Emile Sinclair [pictured below] who has been out injured for the past three matches. Sinclair has ten League goals which isn`t a bad return for a player picked up from Macclesfield Town earlier in the season and who had been played as a winger for the majority of his career!
Captain Grant McCann and Lee Tomlin have 8 goals while another player expected to depart the club, George Boyd, is just one goal further behind on seven goals. Tyrone Barnett has 17 League goals which includes four goals for Posh with the other 13 coming when he was at Crawley.
Posh have now gone an amazing 119 games since they last finished a League game goalless! That was away at Ipswich on 8th December 2009.
