Peterborough United v West Ham United - Form Guide

Vital Posh looks at the form of both Peterborough United and West Ham United ahead of Tuesday nights npower Championship clash at London Road.

West Ham travel to London Road for only the second time in their history for a competitive match looking to pick up all three points that will keep them in touch with second place Reading.

Following three good performances by Posh, they let themselves down last weekend when the surrendered to the physicality of Barnsley; going down 1-0 even though they were up against 10 men for over an hour.

After yet another disappointing away performance, Posh return to London Road looking for their third home win in a row after beating promotion chasing Blackpool and Reading in recent weeks.

Posh dropped one place to 18th following their defeat at Barnsley on Saturday with Barnsley moving above Posh. Posh have 44 points from 38 games and are now just 9 points from the relegation positions.

So far this season at home, Posh have won nine, drawn two and lost seven. They have netted 37 times while conceding 30 goals. Only Southampton have scored more goals at home than Posh.

Paul Taylor is the top League scorer for Posh this season with 10 goals. Emile Sinclair [pictured below] and Grant McCann both have 8 goals each while Lee Tomlin and George Boyd are close behind on seven goals. Tyrone Barnett has 17 League goals which includes four goals for Posh.

Posh have now gone 113 games since they last finished a League game goalless! That was away at Ipswich on 8th December 2009.

West Ham United

Currently sitting in 3rd place in the npower Championship, they are four points behind second place Reading but have a game in hand and they meet Reading on Saturday!

The Hammers have 69 points from 38 games and are the best team in the Championship on their travels!

They have scored 31 goals away from home while conceding 20. Only Blackpool have scored more goals on their travels.

West Ham`s last away match finished in a 2-2 draw at Burnley last weekend. They have won ten times away from Upton Park this season while drawing five and losing on just four occasions.

With the vast array of forward talent in the West Ham squad, it is a midfielder that is currently out in front as top League scorer for West Ham. Former Newcastle midfielder Kevin Nolan is having a good season and has scored 10 goals so far. One behind him is former England striker Carlton Cole with 9 goals while another midfielder, Mark Noble has 7 goals. Ricardo Vaz Te had scored 10 goals for Barnsley before his arrival at Upton Park where he has since scored twice.
