Vital Posh MOTM -Vs- Reading (Poll)

Facing the countries in-form team in Reading, Posh had their work cut out to get anything out of this game.

Posh did their usual trick of conceding after dominating possession but bounced back with a dominant first half performance which concluded with two quick fire goals either side of the half hour mark through George Boyd and Tyrone Barnett.

Reading, known for their strong second half performances, upped their tempo in the second half and forced Posh back into their own half for long periods. Desperate defending was needed at times and while Paul Jones put in a dodgy display in goal the back four put in an outstanding defensive performance with notable performances by Criag Alcock and Tommy Rowe. Tyrone Barnett also put in a battling defensive display coming back to help out on many occasions.

With Reading pressing for an equaliser, Posh hit them on a break with eight minutes left of the match when what appeared to be another hopeless long ball saw Taylor [pictured below scoring the third Posh goal] at full steam easily power his was past the last defender before latching onto the loose ball and steering it past Federici.

An excellent all round performance with good movement in the first half causing the opposition problems before putting in a backs against the wall defensive performance in the second half to keep hold of the advantage they had gained in the first half.
