Ref Watch - Crystal Palace v Peterborough

Scott Mathieson will be the man in charge of this weekends npower Championship match between Crystal Palace and Peterborough United.

Mathieson, 49 at the end of March, is from Cheshire. He has taken charge of 30 games so far this season issuing 75 yellow cards and just 2 red cards. Of the 30 games, 12 were Championship games although only one of these has been in 2012.

He has refereed Palace once this season when they lost 3-2 away to Leeds United last September. He issued two yellow cards to each side during that game.

The last time he refereed Posh was in a League Trophy North game against Huddersfield Town which saw Posh go down 3-2. That game, in October 2010, saw just one yellow card issued to Dave Hibbert.

Mathieson usually does a decent job of keeping a low profile on the pitch.
