Tunnicliffe heads back to Man Utd

Youngster Ryan Tunnicliffe heads back to Old Trafford following the completion of his youth loan at Peterborough United.

Tunnicliffe signed on loan at Posh at the start of the season and was a regular in the first team squad each week.

During his time at Posh, he started 10 Championship matches while starting on the subs bench on 16 occasions.

He played one FA Cup game for Posh while making one start and one subs appearance in the Carling Cup.

He didn't score any goals but the closest he came was away at Portsmouth. He had come on as a sub and with the score at 2-2 going into added time, Tunnicliffe ran the whole length of the pitch before firing the ball into the area to see the ball diverted into the net for an own goal and a winning goal for Posh.

Tunnicliffe tweeted a thank you to Posh fans on Friday: 'Want to thank all the peterborough fans for the great support I received while I was there. I had a great time & made some great friends!

'Also I hope you enjoyed watching me play & know that I gave 110% every time I pulled on the shirt! Thanks #pufc'.

Vital Posh wishes Ryan good luck in the future.
