Posh players on the move

Hot on the heels of Danny Mills and Nathan Ralph moving on loan to be with former Posh manager Mark Cooper at Blue Square Premier League outfit Kettering, two more players are about to head out of the door.

Having just completed his loan period at Rochdale on Saturday, Peterborough United forward David Ball is expected to be the first out of the door again.

League One outfit Brentford, who are chasing a play-off spot, are keen to have his services for the rest of the season.

Centre back Josh Thompson, who is currently on loan at Posh from Scottish Premier League outfit Celtic, is wanted by League One teams Chesterfield and Wycombe Wanderers. He has yet to break into the Posh first XI and has only made rare substitute appearances.

His chances have been limited at Posh by the impressive central defensive pairing of Gaby Zakuani and Ryan Bennett. Scott Wootton, on loan from Manchester United, is also ahead of Thompson in the pecking order.
