Peterborough United travel North to The KC Stadium to face Nicky Barmby`s Hull City, with former Posh striker Aaron Mclean likely to play a big part in the game

Peterborough United -Vs- Hull City
Venue: KC Stadium
Date: 14th January, 2012
Kick-off: 3pm
Last time out, it was former Posh favourite Aaron Mclean that hit the winner in a 1-0 win for Hull at London Road. This time, the Posh will be looking to reverse that, and build on their recent good form in the league.
Hull will be looking to build on their 3-1 win over struggling Ipswich with a win against Posh on Saturday. But they hadn`t won in 3 games prior to the Ipswich match. Hull don`t score many goals, so Posh will be looking to capitalize on that and play their free flowing style of football.
TEAM NEWS
Peterborough United
Posh are still without the injured skipper Grant McCann and Lee Frecklington for another 2 to 3 weeks.
Tommy Rowe is also a doubt after he picked up an Achilles injury in the recent FA Cup loss at home to Sunderland. So it will be between youngster Joe Newell, who has made a number of substitute appearances in the past few weeks, and Lee Tomlin, as to who will make the starting lineup in Rowe`s absence, with Craig Alcock moving to left back, and Mark Little coming in to the right back position.
Manchester United loanees Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wooton are expected to keep their places in the starting lineup in the absence of Grant McCann and Lee Frecklington, with Tunnicliffe also keeping Daniel Kearns on the substitutes bench.
Youth team player Dan Lawlor is expected to retain his place on the substitutes bench after a good performance for the Under 18`s in midweek against Fulham. Jaanai Gordon-Hutton will not make the bench after a he limped off in a less than impressive performance for the Under 18`s on Thursday.
Darren Ferguson has a choice between forwards Nicky Ajose, and Emile Sinclair, with the chosen one likely to partner Paul Taylor up front. Posh fans have been increasingly critical about Sinclair`s performances recently and Ferguson may be forced to drop the below par striker.
Vital Posh predicts the starting line-up could be:
Lewis
Little, Bennett, Zakuani, Alcock
Wootton
Tunnicliffe Boyd
Tomlin
Taylor, Sinclair
PRE-MATCH QUOTES
Nicky Barmby is expecting a very attractive game of football: 'I'm expecting a really good game of football,' said Barmby.
Their manager, Darren Ferguson, was a very good player himself. He has got a really good team and they score a lot of goals and I think their philosophy is 'we'll score more goals than you'.
Darren Ferguson said: 'Hull are very well organised and to be fair, Nicky Barmby has made a really good start to life as manager of the club. They haven't scored too many goals this season, but if you look at their forward thinking players, they have a lot of talented individuals. Their two centre backs are very strong at this level,"
STATS & FACTS
Posh have played exactly 100 games without drawing 0-0, and it is likely that that will be 101 after Saturday`s game.
Hull haven`t yet drawn a game at home in the league all season. They have also won 7 and lost 5 games at home this season.
The first goal will be the 100th that Posh and Hull have scored against eachother.
