Peterborough United v Birmingham City - Form Guide

Vital Posh looks at the form of both Peterborough United and Birmingham City ahead of the first clash of 2012 at London Road.

These two sides only met six weeks ago at St Andrews where they played out a 1-1 draw.

The Posh goal was the 100th League goal scored by Posh in 2011 and it was a cracker from skipper Grant McCann (pictured below celebrating his goal against Birmingham).

Posh are on a four game unbeaten run having earnt 1-1 draws away at Leicester City and Middlesbrough while beating Coventry City 1-0 at home, their first clean sheet of the season, which was followed up by the second clean sheet of the season when they won 1-0 away at Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.

So far this season at home, Posh have won six, drawn one and lost four.

The Blues had an emphatic 3-0 over Blackpool in their last outing and will be confident going into the game against Posh even though they have a relatively poor away record this season.

The Blues have scored 13 goals away from home this season, conceding 19 on the way.

Top scorer is former Posh target Chris Wood with 9 goals so far this season.
