A brace of goals from Jacob Joyce sends Posh Youths through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Posh could`ve doubled their lead shortly afterwards after a quickly taken short corner created a chance for defender Peter Grant but Tarney again foiled Posh.

The Seasiders equalised on 13 minutes though as Ryan GRATTON capitalised on some hesitant Posh defending to plant his shot into the back of the net.
Posh didn`t have to wait long to regain the lead though as just 3 minutes after conceding the equaliser, the impressive right back Michael Richens put a cross over which the unlucky CROSS diverted into his own net.
Apart from the goal, Posh keeper Alex Archer looked comfortable in goal. A Dillan O'Connor effort was another effort he coolly saved on 25 minutes.
On the half hour mark, a deep cross from Arron Wickham was met by Kgosi Nthle but he could only direct his header over the bar. Wickham himself came close moments later when his side-footed effort went inches wide.
Blackpool thought they`d equalised again on 34 minutes but their effort was ruled offside. Posh did beat the offside trap but Ben Seymour-Shove fired wide.
Half-time: Posh 2 - 1 Blackpool
Posh extended their lead in the 57th minute after an excellent run from Dan Evans created this simplest of chances for JOYCE to claim his second goal and Posh`s third.

Romone Blackett blazed a shot over the bar for the visitors before birthday boy, Jaanai Gordon-Hutton, entered the fray on 67 minutes. Good work from Gordon-Hutton then presented Joyce with a chance to complete his hat-trick but Tarney saved well.
Archer had to keep focussed in the Posh goal as Cole created a chance for himself when he cut inside from the left.
Further chances fell for Tom Wood, Gordon-Hutton and Seymour-Shove but they couldn`t increase Posh`s lead any further.

Moving in to added time, Seymour-Shove was again denied by the overworked Tarney after Posh beat the offside trap once again.
It was an excellent performance by all the youngsters on display. One which everyone can be proud of and which all points to a bright future.
Posh Chairman Darragh MacAnthony again used Twitter for his thoughts and was particularly impressed with Posh right-back Michael Richens.
