Yo!!! to Yeo

All the news in the build up to Peterborough Uniteds 4-0 friendly win over Sligo Rovers concerned the pursuit of Guy Branston to replace Sean St Ledger at the heart of the defence.

But Keith Alexander had a curve ball up his sleeve, because among the trialists turning out for POSH was ex-Lincoln (no surprise there I suppose) front man Simon Yeo.

Yeo has signed no permanent agreement that I am aware of and in scoring two goals against the Irish league side he has put himself right in the shop window, but if Alexander could secure a deal for the player POSH fans would be sleeping easier in their beds.

Although I suppose his arrival could be a sign that Danny Crow could be on his way...

Anyhow that's for another day, today is all about the first win of pre-season... well done POSH

Scorers Yeo 2, Richards, Opara.
