Preston win St Ledger...

Having widely been expected to make the short trip up the A14 and M6 to hometown club Birmingham, it has come as something of a surprise that POSH centre half Sean St Ledger has joined Championship side Preston North End.

The deal is worth 225,000 to the cash strapped League Two side up front with other dees based on appearances.

The contract is for three years.
