Preston win St Ledger...

Having widely been expected to make the short trip up the A14 and M6 to hometown club Birmingham, it has come as something of a surprise that POSH centre half Sean St Ledger has joined Championship side Preston North End.

The deal is worth £225,000 to the cash strapped League Two side up front with other dees based on appearances.

The contract is for three years.
