With relegation confirmed we`re about to see just who, out of the playing staff, are ready to jump ship in the belief they can, or deserve, to play at a higher level on a regular basis.
This summer threatens to be one of the busiest in our history when it comes to transfer gossip and possible moves.
With Darragh MacAnthony having already indicated he`s prepared to inject money into the club to realise the promotion dream, it`ll be interesting to see what kind of balance the cub strikes.
Will some players be sold to generate and, subsequently, add to the funds given by Darragh, or will Gary Johnson be ultra-keen to hang onto the players that already have experience of being in a promotion winning League One side?
Off course, the four biggest names that might go up for auction are our strikers of Boyd, Mclean and Mackail-Smith.
However, the early indications are that it will be the latter of the two options we discussed with Johnson, speaking on the official site, having remarked,
'As a manager I would love to have all three of them here next season.'
'They were all excellent the last time the club was in League One and they would be a success again."
'I will obviously use the last four weeks of the season to check on the entire squad, but I know we have a lot of decent footballers here.'
Out of the three, I fear that George Boyd has already got a scent for the 'good life` having been involved with promotion chasing Nottingham Forest, and he`s my tip to be the most probable departure this summer!
