Posh - Gannon Torn Between Family and Club!

If anybody was secretly hoping that Jim Gannon would have no qualms about taking on the Posh job on a permanent basis perhaps they should think again.

Seemingly, Jim has sat down with Darragh MacAnthony and Barry Fry to discuss a deal but remains as non-committal as he has always been, apparently torn between the job and disrupting his family life.

Speaking to Radio Cambridgeshire, Jim remarked about the situation,

"It will be difficult to accept the job and difficult to turn it down."

"I need to sit down and bounce things off my family and friends."

"It was a very constructive and enjoyable meeting with the chairman and Barry Fry and this club is very lucky to have two very passionate people in charge."

"We talked about the parameters of the contract, but that isn`t going to be the major factor - it`s a personal decision."

"I know where I stand in terms of what the club wants and it`s now about striking the right balance between the work and the quality of my family`s life."

"It was an easy decision to take this job short term, but it`s much more difficult to take it long term."

On a personal view point I`m not sure where I sit on this one. Off course I`d love Jim to stay on and give it a real go next season but is the lure of his family life, up in the Stockport area, too great to take up this opportunity?

I guess we`ll find out in the next few months will we not?
