Posh - Boyd Boro Interest!

Posh - Boyd Boro Interest!

Am I just a harbourer of doom?

Yesterday I speculated that, come the summer, there was a fair chance that there could be an exodus of top talent from London Road.

I based my theory on the fact that having tasted life in a higher league ambition could well overpower loyalty.

Sadly, today I arose to read that one of our favourite sons, George Boyd, may not even be around long enough to hear the proverbial fat lady sing, come May.

The rumour mill has our George line dup for a move to Middlesbrough.

Apparently Gordon Strachan has had his radar focused on George for quite awhile and is keen to take the Scotland 'B` international to the Riverside Stadium.

Initially, the deal would be a loan deal with it becoming a permanent move in the summer. If that is the case one would seriously hope that those who run our club have already negotiated a decent price for the player who will leave London Road having put his name in the record books as the player who has made the most consecutive league appearances for Posh.

Perhaps the only way the player could remain at London Road is if a Premier League club fancies taking a risk and initiates a deal that would come into effect in the summer but allow George to remain with us for now.

Failing that I`d suggest that Middlesbrough fans have got themselves the perfect replacement for the recently departed Adam Johnson!
