'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh (v Palace) - Early Team News!

Peterborough look to begin to claw themselves out of trouble with a trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday.

It`s a crucial fixture for both sides. Posh need the points to try and get off the bottom whilst Palace, recently placed in administration, need the points to ease away from the relegation are themselves.

Mark Cooper will have his own survival target but here at Vital Posh we`ll take one game at a time and see where it leads us.

Once again Posh have injury problems ahead of a fixture. Chris Whelpdale and Josh Simpson both picked up knocks in the midweek defeat at thehands of Preston North End. Rumours suggest Paul Coutts (a Preston target) will step in along with Tommy Rowe.

Elsewhere the centre back decisions will more or less sort themselves out with Gabriel Zakuani still struggling with a groin injury and Craig Morgan sitting out the last of his three game suspension for his red card against Derby County.

But the big news is that Craig Mackail-Smith, who missed the Preston defeat through illness, is back. Let`s hope it`s with a vengeance and that Posh can carve out a rare away victory.

Posh celebrating at the Palace has a nice ring to it don`t you think!
