Posh - Latest on Mclean!

The imminent future of want-away Posh forward, Aaron Mclean, remains as cloudy as ever.

Whilst the forward has made it clear, via a written transfer request that was subsequently granted, that he wants away, Posh are in no rush in this transfer window to let the player walk away from London Road.

Indeed, you get the picture that Posh are prepared to wait and wait to ensure they get a lucrative deal for their man with Barry Fry reportedly remarking,

"There have been a few enquiries regarding Aaron, but nobody has put any money on the table for him, so he remains a Peterborough player and continues to be on the transfer list at his request."

"He has got two-and-a-half-years left on his contract, so it happens then it happens, but we definitely won`t be instigating any move for him because we`d rather keep hold of him."

"We turned down a £3million deal from Wolves for him last season, so we would have to be talking about figures above that for him since he scored vital goals to get us promoted last season."

"If someone comes in with a reasonable offer then we will consider Aaron`s plea to leave, but I can`t accept or reject offers if they don`t come in for him."

Could this one run on and on and possibly into the summer then?

We at Vital Posh reckon it will!
