Owls v Posh - OFF

As the grapevine suggested yesterday, our away fixture at Sheffield Wednesday has been postponed.

It was feared that the ice-age that has descended upon us would prove too much for the Championship fixture to go ahead.

With the streets surrounding Hillsborough resembling Artic wastelands and with no sign of a thaw in progress, there really was no other alternative.

Travel,, unless absolutely necessary, is advised against so it looks as if we`re going to be able to have a relaxing Saturday sat in front of the television watching World of Sport - the ITV 6 and then the dulcet tones of ken Walton commentating on the wrestling!

What do you mean that finished years ago? Is nothing sacred?

Not really surprised at this news, the weather has been awful and its not the ground as much as the surroinding areas and the difficulty in getting to the games in the snow and ice. Dangerous to say the least, anyway, Could be the opporunity to get some of the injured back to full fitness. Should we have a winter break?
