Posh - Preston Next for Ferguson!

Posh - Preston Next for Ferguson!

It looks increasingly as if our path will cross with Darren Ferguson again!

Darren Ferguson is expected to be named (and could well have been by the time this is posted as long as personal terms are agreed) as the new manager of our Championship rivals, Preston North End.

According to a plethora of reports Darren rose to the top of the five man short list with the Preston North End chairman, Derek Shaw, pontificating,

"Darren has excellent credentials. He did a fantastic job at Peterborough."

Indeed he did, with 73 wins out of 145 games with just 40 defeats.

I guess the reasons why there was a parting of the ways, due to mutual consent, may become public knowledge in time but I`ve no doubt the Posh faithful will, when our paths cross again, give Darren the ovation he deserves for those wonderful two back-to-back promotion campaigns.
