'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh - Cooper in Dick Emery Link?

Forgive me for a little self indulgence here but it made me laugh!

As a lad I regularly tuned into The Dick Emery show and my favourite sketches were where he teamed up with the late Roy Kinnear playing a father and son skinhead duo clad in denim.

Invariably, everything they attempted to do as a pairing went wrong with the famous line,

"Dad - I think I did wrong again."

Being uttered to finish the sketch.

Flicking from tabloid to tabloid this morning, I couldn`t help but notice that Mark Cooper has enlisted the help of his own father, the Leeds legend Terry.

Terry, a stylish attacking left back is taking a keen interest in how his sons career is progressing with Mark remarking,

"Dad is retired now and he`s been to a couple of games. It`s good to have someone like him, with his experience of playing at a top level, that I can talk to."

Now I bet you can all see where this one`s heading now!

How long before Mark phones his dad up, after yet another game without a win, declaring,

"Dad - I think I did wrong again."
