George Boyd - Posh Captain!

George Boyd - Posh Captain!

Our new gaffer, Mark Cooper, hasn`t taken long in shaking a few things up has he?

He`s only been around for a matter of a week and a bit and already we have a new team captain.

Cooper has thrown the armband in the direction of our little genius George Boyd who, reading quotes on BBC Sport, seems quite content to take the role on remarking,

'Whilst I'm not the biggest talker hopefully I can lead through my performances."

'If anything it should make me play better, its added responsibility.'

Asking around friends, the consensus of opinion is that the added responsibility may place an added burden on the one player in our side who can pull off the unexpected but on the other hand it could quite well provide the spark that will urge his team mates to up their game to match his.

Either way we`d like to wish George every success in the role.
