'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Posh - Cooper on Blades Defeat!

Everybody likes to get a new managerial reign of to a god start and indeed football is littered with a history that shows a teams results picking up after a managerial change.

However, fortune didn`t favour Mark Cooper on Saturday and he was left to rue a fixture that, once again, saw us get no return and leave us isolated in the relegation zone.

But, and to his credit, Mark remained upbeat on Saturday evening, no doubt looking forward to the forthcoming visit of Middlesbrough this Saturday, remarking,

"We were terrific and we deserved at least a point."

"The aim of the game was to frustrate Sheffield United and not give ourselves too much of a mountain to climb."

"After today`s performance I am more confident about us avoiding relegation."

If so Mark, we could do with a change of fortune imminently!

Your manager is right, the team played well in the second half, and certainly deserved a point. The position at the botom of the league is a false one, I am sure you have enough quality to get away from the relegation area, good luck for the rest of the season.
